Tim Gunn Joins the Fight Against Heart Disease

While better known for his roles as design guru, author, and fashion advisor, Tim Gunn is also a champion for women’s heart health.

Gunn is Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne Inc., where he is responsible for attracting, retaining and developing the creative talent within their portfolio of brands. Prior to joining Liz Claiborne Inc., Gunn served as a member of the administration and faculty at Parsons The New School for Design for close to 24 years.

In August 2000, Gunn was appointed Chair of the Department of Fashion Design at Parsons with the charge of retooling and invigorating the curriculum for the 21st century. Under Gunn’s direction, the department was repositioned as the indisputable leader in fashion design education in America and one of the leading programs in the world.

Currently Gunn serves as co-host of the Emmy-nominated television program Project Runway, a reality-based fashion design incubator. In 2008, he completed the second season of his own show, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style, which is based on his 2007 book, Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste & Style.

Tim Gunn currently resides in New York City, where he has dedicated his talent and time to making heart health fashionable and encouraging women to make their health a priority. Gunn has recently teamed up with Campbell Soup Company to help raise awareness among women in the fight against heart disease.
